Dear God,

Sometimes I’m not that great at expressing my feelings by talking, so I decided to write you a letter instead.  I am writing this letter to express to you how I feel about you. Lord, I thank you that you are so kind, patient and loving towards me. You loved me first before I ever knew who you were. I wish there was a powerful word that I could use to express my gratitude and thanks towards you. Each day you wake me up and allow me to start the day brand new. Each day you allow me to wake up and be a difference maker in this world. Each day, you continue to protect me and pull me out of harms way. Lord, I know that there is an unseen battle that is going on in the spiritual world that I cannot see. I believe wholeheartedly that you are shielding me and fighting on my behalf and I thank you for that.

I thank you for loving me and showing me grace and mercy each day. Thank you for being patient with me as I walk along this journey with you. I wish that I could say that this journey has been easy and that I’ve stayed on your path, but I haven’t. I’ve strayed and followed my own way at times, but you were still patient with me and you redirected my steps back to you each time. Because of you Lord, I have become a better person. You have blessed me in so many areas of my life that I’ve lost count. Not only have you blessed me, but I thank you that you have allowed me to be a blessing to others. Lord, I enjoy talking to you and writing you letters each day. I couldn’t imagine my life without you. I couldn’t imagine not starting my day without talking to you. Lord, I am so thankful that you are a part of my life. I love how I can be open and honest with you. I love how I can just talk to you about anything regardless of how I’m feeling. Lord, when I am upset, frustrated, or hurt, you hurt with me. When I am happy, you rejoice and are happy with me too. I am thankful and grateful that I get to be on this journey called life with you. I love you Lord!
