Seasons
Is it interesting how relationships can be a lot like T.V. Shows? Think about your favorite T.V. show. Now ask yourself how many seasons did that show air? Now think about dating relationships in term of seasons. Seasons can equate to the amount of years that you dated the person. Sometimes relationships last a few months and sometimes years. It’s seems that the longer the years you spend with the person, the harder it is to let them go.
Have you noticed that when the season ends, they will bring in new characters? Depending on the show and how entertaining it is, will determine if it continues to air. Sometimes bringing in new cast members can really increase the ratings of the show and sometimes not so much. It’s the same with dating relationships. Two people can break up and date new people. The new people represent the new cast members of the T.V. show. Sometimes the relationships can last a lifetime and sometimes a few months to a few years.
Recently, Full House Reboot was launched. Full House re-established the show, but now all the cast members are grown up. Relationships can happen that way too! Two individuals can break up and get back together later in life and it can be a successful relationship. Or they may try it out and it may not work out because the two individuals are just too different.
However long you were with that person, remember that everything has a season. Some people are meant to stay in your life for a lifetime and some for few episodes or some even a few years. Sometimes peoples’ roles shift. They transition from being a main character to being an occasional on-screen character. Some people shift from being a boyfriend/girlfriend to being a friend or even an acquaintance. Break ups are never easy, but we can learn from them. I believe it is important to pray and ask God for healing if you are dealing with a breakup. Remember everything happens for a reason and that all things work out for good. I know that when you are in a middle of a breakup you can’t see how this person leaving your life is for best. God knows best and can see down the line. He can see years from now of where that person will end up. He can also see where you are going to be and what people you need around you. If God allows someone to leave your life, it means that they have served their purpose in your life. Breakups aren’t easy, but you can grow through the process and become a better you.
“ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)”
