Live In a Way That Pleases God

Tira and Linda are two best friends and they are sitting down at a bench in the park talking.

“I still can’t believe Terrell is gone,” Tira says.

“I know. It’s so sad. I was truly looking forward to his speech at graduation,” Linda says.

“I talked to his mom the other day and I told her that they would be in my prayers.”

“That’s nice of you to tell his mom that. I prayed for them too,” Linda says.

“Prayer is so important and I believe that even though this is tough right now, God can still get the glory and God can comfort their hearts. I think also it’s so important to live in a way that pleases God,”Tira says

“What do you mean?” Linda asks.

“I believe that most people fear death because it’s something that’s unknown, but if we have Jesus as our savior and we try our best to live a life pleasing to God, we shouldn’t be afraid,” Tira says.

“That’s true. I think death is such a tricky subject because most people want to believe they are going to heaven and they want to believe the same for their loved ones. To be honest, no one really knows whose going to be in heaven. God is the only one that knows for sure for sure. I do agree with you though that if everyone lived in a way that pleases God and accepted Jesus as their saviors, they have nothing to fear,” she says.

“I think this is a huge wake up call. I want to start spreading the gospel and telling others about Jesus,” Tira says.

“Girl, me too! I think everyone should give their life to Jesus. He’s just so good to us. I want to tell others, especially our peers that the time is now to live for Jesus. Tomorrow isn’t promised,” Linda says.

“That’s so true.” Let’s start today. We should stop by Neisha’s house and tell her that Jesus loves her. I think I have some tracts in my car that my church gave us. We can give one to her,” Tira says.

“That’s a great Idea,” Linda says.

The pair gets up from the bench and walks to the Tira’s car and leaves.
