Bulk Pick-Up

This week I feel like God has been speaking to me about surrender and trust. What does it mean to surrender fully? Merriam-Webster defines surrender as "the action of yielding one's person or giving up the possession of something, especially into the power of another." What are you holding on to today that God has been speaking to you to place in his hands? Is it a promise, healing for a loved one,  bitterness, or anger? What is it? Whatever God is speaking to you today about surrendering, I encourage you to do so? Have you ever asked a kid to give you something, and maybe they give you half of what you ask for and not the whole thing. Perhaps they snuck a cookie and weren't supposed to, and you ask them to give you the cookie, and they break it in half and give you some of it, but not the whole thing, lol. If you're holding on to unforgiveness and think you gave it all to God, but perhaps every time that person's name comes up, you get angry all over again; you may be hanging on still to unforgiveness. If you're waiting for a promise to come to pass, surrender that promise to God and continue to work on the things God has tasked you to do.

I heard a pastor say recently, bloom where you are planted. While you are in your season of waiting, continue to have faith that the promise will happen and thrive in your current season. Also, trust God that the promise will come to pass. Trust God that your healing is here; Trust God that he will give you the strength to forgive that person permanently. When we surrender, we are allowing God to be in control of that situation. It's like we take that heavy weight off our shoulders and say, "Here you go, God. I no longer want to carry this; I'm giving it to you. 1 Peter 5:7 says, "Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you. (GNT).

When we leave our fears and concerns with God, it's like coming into his presence with a bunch of junk or things we no longer need and leaving them with God. Most places have bulky item pick-up. Bulky item pick-up is when you place old items or items you no longer need at your house's curb, and the city will send a truck to come and collect those items. I encourage you to take inventory of your life and allow God to bulk pick up for your worries. Continue to trust him, find scriptures you can read daily that speak to the situation you may find yourself in, have faith and watch God come through for you.
