Sometimes we have unfavorable situations that arise in our lives, and we don’t know what to do or how the circumstance is going to get resolved. When something we don’t like happens to us, we tend to be upset or hurt, which is understandable.
Have you ever heard of someone that couldn’t pay their car note say, “Lord, I thank you?” No, because that is not a joyous time. When unfavorable situations happen, I believe we should thank God not necessarily for situation, but because regardless of what we are experiencing, God is still a good God. The situation maybe painful but thank you Lord that you are still here walking with me. I don’t know how this is going to play out, but Lord, I thank you for giving me peace that surpasses all understanding.
I encourage you to seek God and thank him for who he is! We have an amazing father that loves us so much! I know this may not be a joyous time for you, maybe at the moment, but I just want to encourage you that God is with you, and you have the victory regardless of what the situation looks like. I encourage you thank God, not for the bad situation, but because of who HE is. God has not left you but is walking with you every step of the way and you do have the victory in Jesus name!
Psalm 100
A psalm. For giving grateful praise.
1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
