Harriet Tubman

A few months ago, I watched the Harriet Tubman movie. I thought the movie was phenomenal! I just loved how, in the movie, God spoke to her. Harriet Tubman is known for helping free the slaves through the Underground Railroad. I believe that just how she helped set people free physically; it is our job as Christians to point people to Jesus and let them know that Jesus has set them free.

People no longer have to be a slave to their sins because Jesus died on the cross for us! Isn’t that wonderful news! What that means is, you no longer have to allow the enemy to beat you up for things you did in your past because you are free. That thing that you swore you would never do again, but you did, you no longer have to feel guilty because Jesus died for that thing. Ask God for forgiveness and move forward. Luke 4:18 says, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to set the oppressed free..”

There are so many people walking around that don’t realize that they are free. The good news is that Jesus set everyone in the world free, it is not just confined to one specific area. In the Harriet Tubman movie people were free in some states, but not all. Jesus died to set everyone free WORLDWIDE! John 8:36 says, “So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.” When you ask God for his forgiveness, your sin is remembered no more. If no one has told you yet, I just want to let you know that you are free. Don’t let the enemy hold past sins over you anymore. Anytime that he reminds you, quote scripture back. Romans 8:1 says, “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” Now that you are free, don’t go back to the sins that God has freed you from. There are times that you will get weak and it is important to have accountability partners and prayer partners to help you. And Also write down a few scriptures that speak to you that you can quote back to yourself in moments of weakness. You have to fight back with God’s word. I invite you to let others know that they are free. Spread the Gospel. Tell people that Jesus loves them and that they have been set free!

Prayer: Father I lift up those that may be reading this blog. I pray that you guide their lives and I pray that you speak to them through this blog and remind them that Jesus died on the cross for them. Remind them father that they have been set free through your Son and they no longer have to be plagued with guilt by the enemy. Father order their steps and place their feet on your path. I pray that you give them wisdom in their decision making and if there are areas that they may be weak in help them and give them supernatural strength to overcome those things. Father please bless them and protect them and give them your peace knowing that you are walking with them everyday and rooting for them in Jesus name amen.
