Great Are You Lord

I recently felt God remind me of a song I’ve heard many times. The song is called Great Are You Lord, and like I mentioned, I’ve heard this song many times. I recently recovered from Covid-19, and to be honest, it was a challenge going through it. This song says,

“You give life, You are love You bring light to the darkness You give hope, You restore Every heart that is broken Great are You, Lord Chorus: It's Your breath in our lungs, So we pour out our praise We pour out our praise It's Your breath in our lungs, So we pour out our praise to You only”

As I battled Covid-19, there were moments that I experienced shortness of breath, and I had to use my inhaler. I struggled in the past with shortness of breath, but this was a different type of struggle. I went from using my inhaler on an as-needed basis to two pumps every six hours. Now that’s a lot of medicine.

The Song says You give life, which our father does give life. He brought light into my dark COVID situation by allowing others to encourage me and also through his word when I read the Bible and listened to worship music. The verse goes on to say you restore every heart that is broken, and I feel like God restored me. I was frustrated, scared, and hurt when I received my diagnosis. I wasn’t sure how things were going to go from one day to the next, but I just tried to keep my faith up as much as possible, and it was challenging, but God restored me, and I’m so thankful for that. The part of the song that really stands out to me is, “It’s your breath in our lungs,…God was breathing through me and allowing me to live. Although now I still have to use my inhaler from time to time, he’s still breathing through my lungs. He’s giving me life and breath, and I am still able to praise and thank him. This song reminds me of I am Genesis 2:7…….., it says, “Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being.

I want to encourage you that if you are battling with Asthma, shortness of breath, or any Covid-19 symptoms or any other breathing issues to prophesy this song of your life. Declare in Jesus name that our father In heaven is giving you life and breath into your body. This song means something new to me because I know what it’s like to experience breathing issues. It’s not fun, but I thank God for getting me through it, and I thank him for healing my body, and I believe in faith I will no longer have to use my inhaler at all anymore in Jesus name.
