Get Out The Boat!

It is so easy to go through our day-to-day life and stay in our little bubble, but what if everything God has for you is outside that bubble? Sometimes, getting out of your comfort zone can be a bit scary. It’s so easy to go through our routine and only do things we are most comfortable with or visit places we are most used to.

In Matthew Chapter 14, Peter gets out of the boat and can walk on water. Matthew 14: 28-29 says, “Then Peter spoke up. “Lord, if it is really you, order me to come out on the water to come. Come! Answered Jesus. So Peter got out of the boat and starting walking on the water to Jesus.”  Peter experienced a miracle; He walked on water! Now imagine, for a moment, that Peter didn’t get out of the boat. Do you think he would have experienced a miracle?

What if Peter thought it was too scary or that he wasn’t used to walking on water and stayed in the boat? I believe that happens to a lot of us. We get used to only going to certain places, certain parts of town, eating certain foods, etc. What if everything God has for you is on the other side of your bubble? I want to encourage you to get outside your comfort zone, meet new people, visit new places, try new foods, and do things you’ve never done before (of course, Godly things). You never know who you may meet or what new experiences you may have.
